Peer Review Process

SAMAWA: Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam dan Perundang-Undangan implements the following review process policy:

1. Authors are advised to check for plagiarism and other copyright infringement before submitting their manuscripts.
2. Manuscripts submitted by authors will undergo a review process by the editor, primarily checking for compliance with the journal's scope and format.
3. During this process, the editor will communicate with the author to determine whether the manuscript is suitable for submission to review or whether it will be returned/rejected.
4. Manuscripts that have passed the above steps are sent to two reviewers for content review using a single-blind review method.
5. The review process will consider novelty, objectivity, methods, scientific impact, conclusions, and references.
6. The reviewers will suggest improvements and/or accept/reject the manuscript.
7. The editor will decide, taking into account the reviewers' suggestions, whether the manuscript meets the requirements of SAMAWA: Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam dan Perundang-Undangan.
8. The decision of the editor-in-chief is final.
9. The entire review process is conducted entirely through the OJS website.

After revision has been made, the author should resubmit the revised paper to the editor.

If the paper was sent back for revision, the reviewers should expect to receive the revised version, unless they have opted out of further participation. However, where only minor changes were requested this follow-up review might be done by the handling editor.

If the editor is happy with the revised paper, it is considered to be accepted. The accepted papers will be published online and all are freely available as downloadable pdf files.
